Enclosures, Incorporated has been selected by the ESOP Association as
the “Runner-Up” winner of the 2006 Annual Award for Communications
Excellence (AACE). The AACE Awards are sponsored each year by the
Association to recognize the outstanding communications and educational
programs of its members. The awards are presented each May at the
Association’s Annual Conference in Washington, DC to companies who have
excelled in communicating the ESOP (employee stock ownership plan)
and its meaning to the companies employees.
Patio
Enclosures, Inc., is the largest manufacturer and installer of sunrooms
in North America. The company is currently comprised of approximately
750 employee-owners and maintains a communications program that includes
monthly and semi-monthly informal open meetings supplemented by
videotaping for its field offices. The ESOP company promotes a free flow
of information and ideas through several newsletters and grass-roots
committees from all grade levels that work on behalf of the company and
its employees.

AACE
Awards are based on: quantity and quality of employee-owner education,
contributions of employee-owners, integration of the ESOP into company
culture, frequency of ownership communications, involvement and/or
response of employee owners, and encouragement of ownership attitudes.

employee-owners who believe that employee ownership will improve
