Patio Enclosures Employment

Patio Enclosures Inc., has an opening for an Applications Developer.  The eligible candidate will assist in the design, development, testing and documentation of new applications as well as maintenance of existing programs.  The candidate wil provide branch and corporate personnel with technical support for 3rd party and proprietary applications.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree (BA) in an Information Technology or related discipline including Computer Science, Information Systems (IS) or Management Information Systems (MIS) or five years of related experience and/or training;  or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Two to three years experience using Visual Basic Net for Web Development
• Experience in project life cycle (Design, Development, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance)
• Web Services, Web Programming, Windows Programming
• Visual Studio 2003 / Visual Studio 2005
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; comfortable working in a team-based environment

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test maintain and document existing and new applications
• Support end users on in house software programs and some third party software
• Installs and tests developed programs.  Monitors performance of such programs after implementation
• Debugs existing code and uses problem-sovling skills to create and apply solutions.
• Will utilize analytical skills for the interpretation of business functions and for researching and resolving system problems
• Must be able to interview end users and create detailed program specifications for program enhancements
